FundedNext has brought back weekend holding for several of its funded account types after removing the restriction earlier this year.
The prop firm confirmed that, starting from 8 May 2026, traders using Stellar 1-Step, Stellar 2-Step, and Stellar Lite accounts are again allowed to keep positions open over the weekend. Stellar Instant accounts were not affected by the earlier suspension and continued supporting weekend holding throughout the period.
With the change now active, trades will remain open after Friday market close unless traders manually exit them. This allows users to maintain longer-term setups and hold positions tied to broader market movements without automatic closure before the weekend.
FundedNext Restores Weekend Holding on Stellar Accounts
FundedNext originally paused the feature on 17 January 2026. At the time, the firm cited increased market volatility and the risks linked to weekend exposure. Sharp gaps at market open and unstable trading conditions were among the concerns behind the temporary decision.
In its latest announcement, the company said market conditions have improved, and the earlier volatility risks have eased. As a result, the restriction is now not for the affected Stellar models.
Many traders prefer keeping positions open through the weekend to avoid disrupting broader trade plans, especially during ongoing macroeconomic trends or extended price movements.
FundedNext stated that traders can now once again carry positions through Saturday and Sunday without forced liquidation before markets close on Friday. The policy change is already in effect across eligible accounts.
The update marks another adjustment to trading conditions at FundedNext in response to changing market environments. The firm has continued modifying account rules and trading features over recent months as volatility levels across global markets shifted during 2026.
